Sea World

me and tc went to sea world on saturday!!! holy shit it was actually a lot of fun. saw dolphins, seals, otters, and most importantly shamu. even though we sat in the splash zone, we didnt get fucking splashed. i was pissed. i was even doing the 'sham slam' sign.

man we put in a full day there. got there when the park opened at 10am and left at 10:30. the shows were amazing. i didnt even know there was that much to see at sea world.

overall it was a good day, and im happy my sister came down to houston.

Last Day at A-B

ah my last day. a little relieved, but still a little sad. do i really wanna work here? i dunno. i like to think that my knowledge and skills would be better used somewhere else, but job security is nice. anyway today i..........

did some last minute shit around the office, and took tc out to lunch with my department. then i showed her around the brewery. the whole time people were saying hi to me.

when we left she told me she thought i was their favorite intern. even though its really corny, it made me feel kinda good, like i was actually wanted for something, and i didnt just coast by this summer.

Happy Birthday to Me!

ah my birfday. where to begin. well first lets say id rather have spent it with family and friends, but whatever. anyway they threw a lil party for me at work, and got me cookies. oh joy, how i love cookies. i think its funny how everyone started calling me cookie monster.

anyway later that night andrea and sarah came over, and we were drinking at my apt, and then we went to little woodrows since i wouldnt get carded. we drank some more over there, then headed to another bar after midnight when i was officially 21. well drank some more, and some more, and yeah definitely threw up. so at least i got to get shwasted on my bday.

The next day my sister was coming in. unfortunately it was also the day terrorists planned there attack with liquid explosives over in europe. so my mom called me freaking out crying and blah blah blah. anyway patrice arrived fine and mom was overreacting as usual.

Me and patrice went out to dinner to an italian restaurant chain called 'macaroni grill.' it was actually really good, and some fat italian dude sang to me in italian. plus i officially got to order my first drink being 21.

So Much To Do, So Little Time, So Absolutely Cliche

Lots been going on the past few days....where to begin??

Well i have been crazy busy at work trying to get everything done before my internship is over. The excel shit is all done, im happy thats out of the way. but now im working my ass off to get this program (snagit) for bethany working right. im pretty sure ive figured out everything i have to do for it. im going in tomorrow, wednesday, at 7am so i can get a head start to get it finished.

Heres what i have to do:
Go to Fermenting and Finishing and manually type the licenses.
Go back to IS to reconfigure the settings for those two profiles.
Go back to Fermenting and Finishing to restart the computers.
Finish and test script to load snagit registry settings for any user on several workstations.

well it may not seem like a lot but trust me, it is. anyway, this is pretty much the last thing that i have to do before i go, and im going to make sure i get it done.

also tomorrow rita and i get to help install Kontrons out on 64. i wonder if i'll be cleaning again or if i actually get to install the hardware. that would be pretty cool.

hmm what else....i made scrambled eggs on sunday. i fucked up the first time because i forgot to stir them while they're on the frying pan. ooops. but the second batch came out yummy.

i finally started running again. i usually run anywhere ranging from 3 to 5 miles. i just wish i had some music to listen to while i run. which brings me to my next point....read the next post to find out about how i hate the majority of people.

Old Maid / Cheese Please

Today at work i was the maid. at least thats what it felt like. i had to go around and clean bl07 and bl08 enclosures so that the guys from st louis could install the new computers. whatever i didnt really mind, at least i got paid for it and its not an everyday thing. anyways i think i did a damn good job cleaning those bad boys out. other than cleaning work was very uneventful. kinda sad to think it was my last weekend there.

anyway ive pretty much done nothing all day. i was planning on trying to figure my classes out but that didnt really happen. anyway i gotta make a decision soon. here are the options:

western culture:
Classic Civ 114 - Intro to Greek Culture
Relegious Studies 108 - Religion and Society in the West I
History 100 - Global History (but its 8am, ugh)

engineering elective:
Computer Science 257 - Numerical Methods
Computer Science 411 - Database Systems

so i have to choose one from each list....any suggestions?

so today was pretty uneventful...i think one of the exciting things is that i finally got new anti-virus software, trend micro pc-cillin 2006. yeah i havent had updated software since november, so im doing a scan right now and we'll see how much shit i have on my computer. i'll let you know, because im sure you're really that intrigued.

regarding the cheese.....i made velveeta macaroni and cheese tonight, and ate the whole thing. the box said serving size 3, and i figured i would eat about half of it and then save the rest for lunch on monday. but noooo i was a fat ass and ate the whole thing. whatever though it was delicious. i love cheese.

1 Week to Go

today officially marks 1 week left of my internship. i really cant believe its almost over. these past 3 months have gone by fast, especially the past 4-5 weeks. there has constantly been stuff to do at work. lots, lots better than the first 2 weeks when i was balls bored.

anyway today i worked on the excel sheet a little more. its pretty much done, i just wanna make sure it never errors out. plus i need to configure it so that it sends the graphs to the appropriate printer.

ive also been working on the screen capture program called snagit for bethany. shes so god damn unorganized its annoying. i had to go to brewing, fermenting, and finishing to install the program. instead of letting the operators know ahead of time when we'll be coming by to 'kick them off'' their computers, she decides to tell them right then and there when we show up. i usually feel like a jackass then, like some unorganized, bumbling intern. which i am not. :) but anyway, i played around with the program alot today, and am finishing up my guide to send to the whole IS dept.

speaking of the whole IS dept, im debating whether or not i should write them a letter (more formal) or actually go buy a card. i also need to buy a card for the fletchers, my cousins i never knew that lived here. they had me over a few times for dinner. which is really nice considering the fact they havent seen me in roughly 12 years.

the weekend should be pretty good. tonight i got caught up on the 4400 and tomorrow im going in to work with myrna. it was pretty cool don actually asked me if i wanted to come in. i hadnt been planning on working, but hey i'll use the extra cash. saturday night i'll see if allison wants to hang out or something, and sunday im gunna try and have a repeat of last weekend and go over to cesars. that was hella fun.
